Cambridge の C1 の語義は a list of matters to be discussed at a meeting=会議で話し合う項目の一覧。
Cambridge は but no details、Longman は without explaining all the details と明記しています。
I’d like to emphasize that …
Cambridge Business の recap の語義に that has been discussed earlier という限定が入っています
Cambridge は from the floor・have the floor・the floor is yours を見出しとして立てており、例文に The chairman said that he would now take questions from the floor.

①冒頭全体像を先に渡すoverview/outline(動詞)/agenda
②本編重み付けと道案内highlight/emphasize/walk someone through/move on/slide
③質疑受けと確認the floor/clarify/elaborate
④締め短く言い切るsum up/recap/wrap up/takeaway

presentation — a talk giving information about something

Cambridge Business English Dictionary

presentation — a talk to a group in which information about a new product, plan, etc. is presented

The sales manager will give a presentation、Cambridge Business I made a presentation to the board, but sadly it was rejected.

presentation — the series of computer slides (= images)/I’ve put my presentation on a memory stick.

つまり「Can you send me your presentation?」

overview — a short description of something that provides general information about it, but no details

overview — a short description of a subject or situation that gives the main ideas without explaining all the details

Lecturers often give an overview at the start of a lecture and a summary at the end.

outline — the main shape or edge of something, without any details

outline — to describe something, for example a new plan or idea, in a general way without giving too many details

だから「Today I’ll outline three options.」

outline — a plan for a piece of writing in which each new idea or fact is separately written down

agenda — a list of matters to be discussed at a meeting

at a meeting と書いてあります。

Cambridge Business

agenda — a list of things to be discussed during a meeting/The next item on the agenda is a special report from the Advisory Committee.

agenda — a secret aim or reason for doing something/There’s no hidden agenda – I’m just trying to help.

hidden agenda — someone’s secret plan or aims, rather than the ones that they say that they have

Good morning, everyone. Thank you for making time today.

My name is Kenji Sato, and I'm in charge of logistics planning at Wasshi Trading.

This morning I'd like to give you an overview of our delivery lead times, and then outline three options for cutting them.

It will take about fifteen minutes.

I'll be happy to take questions from the floor at the end, but please jump in if something isn't clear.

It will take about fifteen minutes.

英語のプレゼンのフレーズ②本編|highlight・emphasize・walk through・move on

(Cambridge B2)
(Cambridge Academic)
(Cambridge Business)

highlight — to attract attention to or emphasize something important/The report highlights the need for improved safety.

Longman

highlight — to make a problem or subject easy to notice so that people pay attention to it

Cambridge Business

highlight — the most important detail or information in a document, etc.

だから Let me walk you through the highlights.

emphasize [+ that] [+ question word] — to show that something is very important or worth giving attention to

  • I’d like to emphasize that this figure is for the first quarter only.(+ that)
  • Let me emphasize how narrow this margin is.(+ question word)

emphasize — to give extra force to a word or phrase when you are speaking, especially to show that it is important

だから「I want to emphasize one word here: only.」

walk someone through something — to practice something, or to show someone how to do something from beginning to end/They can walk you through the process one more time, to give you some practice and confidence.

from beginning to end

一方、Cambridge の walk through(someone が入らない形)は別の意味です。

walk through — to practise something, for example a performance, without an audience being present

本番で「Let me walk through this.」 you を入れて walk you through にするのが安全です。

move on — to leave the place where you are staying and go somewhere else

move on — to start to discuss a new subject during a formal meeting

during a formal meeting Let’s move on to the next point.

slide — one of a series of computer screens of information shown in a presentation/The final slide showed two graphs.

slide — a small piece of film in a frame which, when light is passed through it, shows a photograph on a screen(Cambridge Academic)

(Several ministers expressed their worry at the euro’s slide.)、数字の話をしている場面では取り違えが起きます。

handout — a document given to students or reporters that contains information about a particular subject

Cambridge Business

handout — a document containing information that is given to people at a meeting or other event

the floor — the place where a formal or public meeting is held, or the people at the meeting

from the floor会場の聞き手からThe chairman said that he would now take questions from the floor.
have the floor発言する権利があるSilence, please, the prime minister has the floor.
have/take the floor会議で発言権を得る・話し始めるExcuse me, I have the floor and have the right to be listened to.
Thank you very much, Ms Poole, for being here today. The floor is yours.

take questions from the floor が「会場から質問を受ける」で、the floor is yours が「どうぞ、お話しください」です。

clarify — to make something clear or easier to understand by giving more details or a simpler explanation/Could you clarify the first point please? I don’t understand it completely.

Could you clarify …

elaborate — to add more information or explain something that you have said(Cambridge Academic)/to give more details or new information about something(Longman)

That's a fair question, and I don't have the figure with me.

Let me check with our logistics team and come back to you by Thursday.

Could I move on, and take the rest of the questions from the floor at the end?

move on と from the floor が、ここでも効いています。

英語のプレゼンのフレーズ④締め|sum up・recap・wrap up・takeaway

sum up — to describe or express the important facts or characteristics about something or someone

Longman

sum up — to give the main information in a report, speech etc in a short statement at the end

at the end と書いてあるので、To sum up, … Oxford の例文も To sum up となっています。

recap — to repeat the main points of something that has been discussed earlier at the end of a meeting or talk/Let me (just) recap very briefly what I said earlier.

that has been discussed earlier = 前に話した内容の繰り返しです。

To recap, our main aim is to increase sales by 15 percent this year.

Cambridge Academic は recap を short form of recapitulate としています。

wrap up(informal)— to complete something successfully or to finish doing something/My guess is they’ll wrap the meeting up fairly quickly.

That just about wraps it up for today.

社外の役員が並ぶ場では、wrap up ではなく I’ll close with …

takeaway(mainly US)— a main message or piece of information that you learn from something you hear or read/At the end of the class, the teacher gives us the takeaway points.

(Curry houses and Indian takeaways account for £2.5bn of trade.)。

Cambridge Business

takeaway — something that you get or learn from an experience, activity, etc./What’s the key takeaway from this survey?

To sum up, our lead times have grown from four days to seven over the past year.

To recap the three options: add a second carrier, move the warehouse, or change the cut-off time.

If there is one takeaway today, it's that the cut-off time is the cheapest of the three to test.

I'd like to come back to you with a costed plan by the end of the month.

Thank you. I'll take questions from the floor now.

audience — the group of people together in one place to watch or listen to a play, film, someone speaking, etc.

Cambridge

The audience was/were clearly delighted with the performance.

The secret to public speaking is to get the audience on your side.

get the audience on your side = 聞き手を自分の側に付ける。

audience — the people who watch a particular television programme or film, read a particular book, etc./Advertisers use these strategies to target specific audiences.

This deck has two audiences.

Q. do a presentation

Cambridge Business English Dictionary の presentation の項目に、動詞の並びが give/make/do a presentation としてそのまま示されています(2026-09-17 に確認)。

Q. agenda

Q. 締めは sum up と wrap up のどちらがよいですか

I’ll take questions from the floor at the end.

Cambridge の from the floor の例文が The chairman said that he would now take questions from the floor.

Longman の語義は to make a problem or subject easy to notice so that people pay attention to it = 気づきやすくすることです。

overview・outline・agenda・highlight・emphasize・walk someone through・move on・slide・handout・clarify・elaborate・sum up。

  • 冒頭=overview(詳細を言わない宣言)/outline(動詞で構成を予告)
  • 本編=highlight(気づかせる)/emphasize(+ that で言い切る)/walk you through(最初から最後まで)/move on(話題転換)
  • 質疑=from the floor(会場から受ける)/the floor is yours(発言を促す)/clarify(言い直してもらう)
  • 締め=sum up(短く言い切る)/recap(前に言ったことを繰り返す)/takeaway(持ち帰る1点)
  • ⛔ ラベルに注意する3語=wrap up(informal)/takeaway(mainly US)/handout(無償供与の語義が同居)
